Drummers, we photographers haven’t forgotten about you, we just can’t see you very well.
The last couple of years I’ve been, really into photographing drummers. They are typically the most exciting to watch on stage and the most difficult to photograph. Most bands have a drummer and most of the time they are tucked away to the back of the stage where there is very little lighting. If the band has more than three members, then even seeing the drummer from the front of the stage is damn near impossible.
This year at Treefort, I’ve made a concerted effort to photograph as many drummers as I possibly could. There were so many fantastic drummers to photograph.
