An Evening with Nick Delffs and Surfs Drugs

I saw that Nick Delffs was coming through town to play a show with Surfs Drugs at Sam Bond’s Garage, I had to drop everything and go to the Whitaker neighborhood.

The show started with Surfs Drugs, the experimental lineup. Berg, on guitar, Kaichi was on drums, and Alex Pedrick on bass. It was super fun, even if they only practiced once together. Alex has played with Surfs Drugs, but playing guitar. It was fun set.

Nick is on tour by himself. He took the stage with his guitar and a single kick drum. The sound he gets with that guitar and drum is quite lovely.

Nick Delffs reminded me that music is best enjoyed live.
